MyPond Hotel, Port Alfred, South Africa

Locals call Port Alfred the ‘heart of the sunshine coast’, a small town on South Africa’s Garden Route blessed with endless stretches of golden sandy beaches, foamy Indian Ocean waves, and a world-class marina.

With the eternal summer atmosphere and multiple opportunities for watersports like surfing, water skiing and scuba diving, it’s no wonder that the town has an eclectic mix of local residents – many of them international artists – and regular visitors.

On the Kowie River Bank, with incredible views of the sparkling waters below, you’ll find MyPond Hotel, a four-star boutique beauty that’s perfectly placed to enjoy everything the coast has to offer.

At Last You’re Here

big_LogocroppedMy Pond Hotel is operated by Stenden South Africa, one of the continent’s most prestigious hotel schools, and service is delivered to guests with fresh enthusiasm and warmth.

After a state of the art renovation, the hotel is also the first property in the country to harness geothermal energy, and sources all ingredients for the contemporary South African menu (and much of the décor) locally, supporting both sustainability and community initiatives.

The spacious suites have heart-stirring river views, and there are excellent facilities for conferences and special events. Staff will happily organise activities from horse riding to golf (Port Alfred being a premier golfing destination), or simply relax in the plunge pool or take a stroll along the river.

However long you stay, you’ll take away a little of the sunshine coast with you.
