Intimate Hotels

Widely regarded as South Africa’s gourmet capital, Franschhoek (‘French corner’ in Afrikaans) is a charming village at the head of a fertile, steep-sided valley where the spirit of bonhomie is alive and well.

Logo for Preferred BoutiqueMany of the country’s finest restaurants are here, along with scenic drives through verdant countryside, stopping in for cellar tours at both long-established and newly-thriving estates.

After a hard day’s wine tasting, you can relax in your own private patio garden (or, if you book one of the suites, a private pool) while taking in the dramatic scenery, enjoying the quiet and tranquillity, or contemplating which of Franchhoek’s many pleasures to sample next.
