At Mantis, our underlying philosophy is one of responsible and ecologically sensitive development and operations, supporting the local environment while conserving and maintaining all natural resources.
With this as our foundation, Mantis offers a complete range of Conservation Services to suit the needs of any property or reserve. We offer our services to the tourism and wildlife sectors with the aim of promoting biodiversity while fulfilling our conservation and sustainability objectives.
Furthermore, while we continuously strive to maintain an ecological balance, we also aim to improve the socioeconomic status of the various regions in which we operate. By taking a holistic approach, we aim to integrate community, education, sustainability and conservation to achieve our conservation goals.
Community Conservation Fund Africa
NPC Registration No: 2018/418808/08
Together, Mantis and AccorHotels created the CCFA in response to the urgent need for the tourism industry to play a greater role in conservation and community upliftment. CCFA is a registered NPO which funds community upliftment programmes and conservation operations in Africa.
CCFA was set up to help put the spotlight on rural African communities that live among the wild animals but by large have received few benefits from this often-difficult privilege. CCFA’s mission is to address these inequalities and investigate ways of giving rural African communities a greater role in wildlife ownership and management.
The CCFA is has partnered up with African Parks, Tusk Trust, Wilderness Foundation. All 3 partners work with CCFA to achieve its end-goal: man and nature living together sustainably. By using partners to be the facilitators of all CCFA projects, it reduces the CCFA overheads, and allows for more donations to be used directly on the projects, thus making a greater impact.
We are their only voice

Worldwide Experience provides the opportunity for adventurous travellers to be immersed in the world of conservation and make a difference for wildlife and rural communities across the globe. Our meaningful projects offer our travellers the opportunity to settle into a local community, make friends, save money and above all help the environment and those in need of their efforts and skills.
This hands-on educational programme gives students and volunteers the opportunity to work behind the scenes at game reserves, animal rehabilitation centres, community projects and ocean research programmes. We also offer vet students a wildlife veterinary experience with our Vets Go Wild team led by Dr William Fowlds, a world renowned South African vet.
Our philosophy is one of responsible travel, reflected in our holistic approach where the integration of education, conservation, sustainability and community is key to developing projects that achieve real conservation goals.
Real Conservation * Real Impact * Real Change
