Education has always been recognised as an important facet to the growth and ultimate success of the world’s youth.
Mantis Education has aligned itself with Europe’s largest hospitality school, Stenden University with campuses in Holland, Thailand, Bali, Qatar and South Africa. Top students are invited to partake in our group intern program whereby they have the opportunity to work within a Mantis Hotel.
A success story from the aforementioned partnership is Thulani Xhali.
Mantis sponsored Thulani’s school fees at Stenden. Afterwards he did his internship at No5 Boutique Art Hotel, where he worked his way up to food and beverage manager and eventually deputy general manager. Thulani is currently the general manager of MyPond hotel in Port Alfred, the learning hotel of the Stenden campus in South Africa.
A division of Mantis Education specialising in the development, management and marketing of conservation student programmes is Eco Africa Experience. Mantis’ recognition of the importance of education combined with the incredible involvement that Mantis has in conservation, was the perfect platform for the establishment of Eco Africa Experience, where the integration of education, conservation and community is key to developing projects that make a real difference. The first Eco Africa Experience project is the Nakavango Conservation Programme at the Stanley and Livingstone Private Game Reserve, Victoria Falls.
Worldwide Experience, our gap year brand, focuses on providing volunteer conservation placements for those on a gap year or study break. This division also operates a veterinarian program in South Africa whereby vet students can fulfil their extra mural studies. The Bear Grylls Survival Academy also forms part of Worldwide Experience’s unique portfolio.
