Hotels, Eco Escapes & Lifestyle Resorts | Unearthing the Exceptional
As ski resorts go, Björkliden has something for everyone – neat slopes for beginners and children, black diamond runs for the novice and incredible off-piste opportunities (including heliskiing, cross country and ski touring) for the adventurous.
And with a breathtaking mountain landscape, delicious Scandinavian cuisine, and the chance of seeing Nature’s very own firework show, the Northern Lights, it’s no wonder that Swedish Lapland has become one of the world’s hottest winter destinations.
You’ll find a range of comfortable accommodation at Björkliden, from the authentic Hotell Fjället to the luxurious Solhyllan, and of course Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge, which has the distinction of being Sweden’s highest.
Snow is deep and plentiful, but as well as flying down the mountain on your skis, there’s a range of other ways to explore the extraordinary landscape, from dog sledding to ice climbing and snowmobile safaris.
Summer is just as wonderful, with the white nights making midnight golf possible, as well as hiking and fishing galore. It all adds up to an unforgettable holiday, in what many consider Europe’s last wilderness.
In Björkliden, you can stay at Hotell Fjället, in your own cottage in Kåppas Cabin Village in direct conjunction to our ski system, or at our classic ski lodge, Gammelgården.
For large families, groups of friends and companies, we recommend our newly builtlog cabins Solhyllan, and for an experience out of the ordinary, we recommend a night at Sweden’s highest located mountain lodge, Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge.

With a breathtaking view of Lake Torneträsk, and the majestic Lapporten — ”The gateway to Lapland”, Björkliden can offer a diversity that few others can — family-friendly but also adventurous. Our philosophy is simple. We offer something for everyone.
Björkliden is surrounded by fantastic mountain scenery, and the white season gives everyone an opportunity to discover it. Make it an adventure behind a dog sled or on a snowmobile. Let a helicopter take you to the mountains where few have stepped, or just enjoy it quietly, gliding through the landscape over the glittering snow on a pair of skis.
Björkliden offers everything. You just have to choose.
