Your journey will begin with an overnight in the capital city, Kigali.
On arrival at Mantis EPIC Hotel, enjoy the hotel facilities with a dip in the swimming pool or a relaxing massage. In the evening, enjoy dinner in the restaurant before retiring for the evening.
Day 2: Liberation trail and Pastoral experience
After breakfast, you will join your guide on the Liberation Trail, this takes you on the remarkable journey of Rwanda’s fight for liberation and freedom. It’s a deeply moving glimpse into the historic events that left an indelible mark on its people.
Enjoy lunch back at the hotel before your next guided tour, the Pastoral Experience where an experiential cultural excursion that explores a community, mainly composed of households, that value cattle’s possession as a sign of prestige and wealth. The experience will explore the rearing of a rare species ‘INYAMBO’ and several accompanying activities, cattle washing, cow milking, traditional milk flavoring and more, that are mainly found in the community that is 40 minutes away from the hotel.
Enjoy a the local flavours of Rwanda that Chef and the team have carefully curated for dinner.
Day 3: Return to Kigali
Today after a relaxed breakfast, you will drive to Kigali, you will visit the Genocide Memorial in Kigali, learn about the history of the tragedy that the country suffered. Overnight in Kigali.
Gateway to Nyngwe Forest
Day 5: Early morning wake up call and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Kamembe.
Afternoon Activities: In the afternoon, explore from a selection of 23 unique on-site experiences at Mantis Kivu Marina Bay.
Day 6:Â Guests will be picked up early in the morning from Nyamasheke and driven to Nyungwe National Park, with a packed breakfast provided for the day.
Optional Morning Activities in Nyungwe: Enjoy a range of optional experiences in the Nyungwe Forest, such as the Canopy Walkway, Adventure Trail, Chimpanzee Habituation Experience, and Colobus Monkey Trekking.
Enjoy a dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: After an early breakfast you will be transferred to Kamembe Airport for your flight back to Kigali.
